Jimmy Choo, Louboutin, Miu Miu are just some of the brands I imagined wearing on my feet on my wedding day. Keep in mind I thought I would be making 250k straight out of college (insert laughter here.) Okay, maybe not that much but you get the point. Luckily for me there are a ton of new and more affordable designers that are “trending” in the wedding world. By far the most popular designer that kept popping up was Badgley Mischka.
These make for beautiful shoes for your big day, especially for pictures. The detailing on these shoes are perfection. These will range from $100-$400 in price, definitely falling into the “designer” category but not quite replacing your rent money. Cons: Throughout my research I have found that they are not exactly comfortable, and if you have a lot of tulle in your dress the detailing can get caught in it.
Steve Madden, Kate Spade and Betsey Johnson are some more affordable designers to check out for bridal shoes as well.
Obviously there are a ton of beautiful heels but lets face it, heels aren’t for everyone. I love heels but
1. my fiancee is not much taller than me
2. outside ceremony/brick paths= terrified of falling or sinking
3. don’t want to attempt to cut my feet off from being uncomfortable all night
so…the search for flats /sandals begins. I should be more specific, I personally am not a fan of “flats” and the way they look so my search was more specifically geared towards sandals, sneakers or tiny heels.
kate spade glitter sneakers $80
Super cute, designer and affordable! Comes in 4 colors and can be found online or at department stores. Also if you get the white pair pictured above, the inside lining can be your something blue, woop!
The tiniest, cute, designer heel I could find that didn’t break the bank! Badgley Mischka $225 can be found at Nordstrom here .(also comes in a rose gold – pinkish color)
These cute babies are Jimmy Choos “Isabel” found here for $595 if you want to get fancy.
these are Nine West “leisa” heels that are even tinier. I personally think any heels with a strap are automatically 80% more comfortable because they hold your foot in there. Anyways, not as blingy but still look bridal. Also comes in silver and gold. $79
okay I have searched nordstrom, macys, bloomingdales and any other google suggestion and have not been able to find what I envision in my head for “bridal sandals”…below is as close as I got. Most designer sandals had bows or some other craziness on them that I am just not a fan of…
These are the only shoes that have all the qualities I was looking for (designer, no height, blingy, straps and cute) They are the “cara” shoes by Badgley Mischka $175 at nordstrom and can be found here . Also comes in gold and silver but ivory is my favorite.
These would come in second place, not sure why i think the “heel” platform-y bottom would make any difference but thats the only reason I’d choose “Cara” over “Lilli” found here . On sale for $109 and come in 3 metallic colors.
You could also search through etsy for “wedding sandals” and they will have some options there but they will not be designer (obviously) oh, and they also have a ton of “barefoot sandals” which are perfect for a beach wedding. Super cool , bracelet that looks like a shoe, concept for your feet!
Shoe shopping daze done!
